Kids In The Middle (KITM), a non-profit counseling agency, has announced that Judy Rubin will receive the 2021 Champion of Kids Award for dedication to helping children and families heal from the trauma of divorce and separation. Judy and her son, Whitey Holt, are partners at Plaza Advisory Group, a wealth management practice. Since her divorce in the 1990s with three young children, she has devoted much attention to educating and empowering those who find themselves “in the middle” of similar family transitions. She currently serves on the Foundation for Barnes Jewish Hospital Board and is on the Finance Committee. Furthermore, she supports her husband, Bruce Rubin, in his dedication to the Legacy Ice Foundation and Blues for Kids charities. “For over 14 years, Judy has shown her undeniable support and passion for our mission through her various roles, and there is no doubt she deserves this award,” says KITM CEO Katy Walter. “She personally experienced the impact that divorce and separation have on a family and understands the need to provide them with life-changing social and emotional skills to heal from this trauma.” The Champion of Kids Award will be presented at A Celebration of Childhood fundraising gala on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at RYSE Nightclub at Ameristar Casino Resort & Spa – St. Charles. Kids In The Middle (KITM) helps children and families transition to a new way of life before, during and after separation and divorce, for the sake of creating healthier futures for all involved.
